This Canape/Biscuit Cutter was made by; Lewis Specialty Company, of Montclair,N.J.
On the can it states that it was manufactured with the same skill which produced precision parts for the Armed Forces. So that leads me to think that it was made after WW2. I am guessing that it was made in the early 50`s,Considering that I aquired it from an Estate sale of a couple that was in their late 80`s. As you can see in the pix,
the cutter itself still looks brand new & works great, so I state that it is in Mint condition. The storage box is what gives away its age. The Cutter is made of Stainless Dural, & weighs only 5 oz.It has been gently used & enjoyed;for cutting out Biscuits, Canape`s, Tea sandwichs, hors d`oeuvres & more. Designed for a lifetime, easy to use & clean. What you see is what you get.I have given an Honest & Accurate description as I see it. My price of $25.00 is negotiable.
